There are about $5k - 10k a year to keep going through a season - depends on how many races and where. Lots of racing & 2 day meets - about 10k...

Best way is to use a small hard drive camera with super steady shot, and to build a plastic clear box out of plexiglass (stuff used for boat windscreens) but make it 5mm too big in all dimensions and use the sponge from the inside of camera cases to remove the vibration. I cut the end off the box and use race tape to make a hinge, seal the thing up with race tape when the camera is inside. I use a camera where you can get a manual wired remote connector with a power on / off on steering wheel.

These things are wicked!
Just wondering what you would recommend for an on board camera set-up?

Eastern creek is not bumpy - the camera is not mounted very well :)

Superkarts are at Eastern Creek supporting the V8's this year. Worth a look if you are in Sydney...
