Some truths: Foreign language courses are in a class apart where you must never play for time. Procrastination equals failure in foreign language courses so you must spend a minimum of 15 minutes each day and a minimum of 3 hours a week. Utilize all the spare time you have though it is not recommended that you spend more than 45 minutes learning the language per session.

Split your study up into several small sessions. If you are serious about passing the examination then attend classes regularly. Some occasional review of all material you have learned previously is also very important to your success – for example, the vocabulary. Here are some ideas to make the learning of different sections of a foreign language course simpler.

Perusing through printed matter: Try to comprehend what is written rather than worrying too much over unknown words. Read the chapters of the text book in small bits every day.

Communicating: Do not be afraid of making mistakes, listen carefully to your classmates and speak up! You can start practicing the foreign language by talking to your self, talking to others who are in the same class or even with your pet dog or cat.

Scribbling: Know how to pen down ideas everyday till it comes naturally to you. Request a friend to dictate some small paragraph of the language and then find out how much of it has been written correctly.

Medley of helps: You ought to have a goal and a good reason for studying the foreign language and develop good feelings towards it. Know the learning objectives and also how to achieve those goals. 1.f you need help get it and do not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help for fear of sounding stupid, or being embarrassed. 1.Never be scared or embarrassed to ask for help when you need it and ask questions when you do not understand something, because it is a natural process of learning 2.Get audio tapes of the language and listen to them or make you own tapes and listened to yourself in order to perfect your pronunciation. The only way you can have correct pronunciation is to listen to audio tapes of the language or record something yourself and then listen to them. 3.Make flash cards for vocabulary and try using different colors for different genders of the words and for different categories of words such as nouns, verbs and adjectives. 4.Practice in study groups and become good friends with some of your classmates because they can help you out.
