When Allen Iverson first played against the Philadelphia 76ers, he took shots at them before, during and after the game. This time, he saved them just for the court, then showered his old team with praise that indicated he's gotten over the bitter split. "They've got a lot of talent on that team. They've got a lot of guys that can do things, and they've got a lot of guys that care, guys with pride,"…

In one of the top regular-season matchups in years, an unlikely player was the difference. Just like the last time Boston played Detroit. Rookie Glen Davis scored a career-high 20 points, giving the Celtics' Big Three a huge lift in a 92-85 win over Detroit on Saturday night in a marquee game that lived up to its billing.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom was suspended for one game without pay Tuesday for committing a flagrant foul in the fourth quarter of his team's 110-91 loss to the Boston Celtics. Odom threw himself into Ray Allen and knocked the Boston guard to the floor with 2:56 remaining Sunday night and the outcome already decided.

Louis Williams is starting to gain confidence and show his potential with Philadelphia. The 21-year-old Williams scored 19 points, including going 12 of 14 from the free-throw line, to help the 76ers hold off the injury-depleted Seattle SuperSonics 98-90 on Monday night. "He hasn't been as aggressive as we would have liked," 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks said of Williams.

Despite shooting a franchise-worst 0-for-14 from 3-point range, the Los Angeles Clippers still found a way to beat the NBA's worst team. Chris Kaman had 16 points and 16 rebounds to help the Clippers erase an 11-point deficit and beat the hapless Minnesota Timberwolves 91-82 on Monday night. "They're just not that good, so we were able to beat them," Kaman said.

Chris Bosh suspected the Toronto Raptors grew up a little during an arduous seven-game road trip on Western Conference courts. They way they finished it off confirmed it. Bosh scored 29 points and the Raptors rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the New Orleans Hornets 97-92 on Monday night.

The Portland Trail Blazers had to settle for a near-perfect December. The Blazers' 13-game winning streak ended Monday night with a 111-101 loss to the Utah Jazz, Portland's first defeat since Dec. 2. "It was a great month for us. We lost the first game of the month and the last game of the month. Any time you do that, I think that's a sign of a young team maturing," said Brandon Roy, who scored 17...

Once Don Nelson got thrown out, Baron Davis took over. Davis scored 23 points and Al Harrington had 16 points and 11 rebounds as Golden State overcame 21 turnovers to rally past the Houston Rockets 112-95 on Monday night. Monta Ellis scored 20 and Stephen Jackson sank four 3-pointers and added 18 points for the Warriors, who outscored Houston 37-15 in the final quarter to win for the 19th time in…
