Hey guys okay I pretty much know nothing of drivers’ lives before they get to F1… so I was wondering:

At what level do the drivers start getting paid rather than paying (more) to compete, Formula BMW/Ford, GP2.. etc.

Also what would be your typical salary for one of these people?… are they employed or do they do it on the weekend? like okay I’m off to uni next year could I still compete in Formula BMW or would I need to choose between uni and racing at that stage? I realise I can take a gap year (which actually I’m probably going to do) but yeah that’s just one year…

My dad used to race formula fords and i’m considering starting to race. looking for sites online to buy formula fords is quite frustrating though. So, if anyone knows where a good site is that deals racing equipment, and if you know anyoneeee thats selling, or has good information on formula ford banshees (specifically) then it would be greatly appreciated! Dear oh dear I cannot believe NAS-CUH is about to outlive this thing which was once a sport.

I’m actually looking forward to Toyota, Red Bull, Torro Rosso and SFM pulling out of F1 next year. Maybe when the sport dies people will finally realise Zombie Eccelstone and **** Mosely need to be thrown as far away from F1 as possible.

My question to you all is this, when did Formula One start dying? … I think it came about in 2007 with the spy scandal. I mean the pot did call the kettle black in that scenario, everyone cheats in F1.

Why won’t the American’s such as Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, and etc. join the highest form of racing in the world. I believe Ford Mclaren was the last one but why did they stopped on joining the event

and i have been hearing the same things from everybody; to move to europe, go to racing school, get a sponsor, formula bmw, win bmw, test drive bmw, race formula 3,3000,gp2,formula ford, win win win win win,
but i need the details like how to get a sponsor, where to sign up for these formula leages how to get my super lisens and all that stuff and of course…… DO I EVEN GO TO COLLAGE!?!?!
