Phil Dawson wasn't about to quit during Cleveland's latest fourth-quarter meltdown. Turned out, neither did the rest of the Browns. With a confident nod to coach Romeo Crennel, Dawson went out and calmly hit a career-long 56-yard field goal with 1:39 left that sent Cleveland to a 29-27 win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night Dawson's fifth field goal of the game capped a wild finish.

Turns out the Cleveland Browns aren't quitters after all. And they have Phil Dawson to thank for this wild win. Dawson capped a five field-goal outing by hitting a career-long 56-yarder with 1:39 remaining to secure the Browns' 29-27 win over the reeling Buffalo Bills on Monday night. Cleveland snapped a two-game skid and avoided wasting a 13-point lead for a third straight time.

UNC still No. 1 in coaches' poll, but not unanimous

North Carolina (1-0) received 30 of 31 first-place votes in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. Connecticut, the preseason No. 2, remained second and received the other first-place vote. The Huskies are 1-0 after an 81-55 win over WCU last week.

UNC still unanimous No. 1 after opening win

North Carolina started the season without injured starters Tyler Hansbrough and Marcus Ginyard and stayed a unanimous No. 1 in The Associated Press' college basketball poll Monday.
