Running back Clinton Portis has fueled Washington's hot start and should be leading the race for league MVP, our NFL Czar says.
Phillip Fulmer will not be returning for an 18th season with Tennessee, according to multiple reports Monday.
ESPN.com cited multiple sources that Fulmer met with Tennessee officials Monday morning where they agreed it would be best if the coach did not stay on the job after this season. The report says an announcement will be made later Monday. The Tennessean also reported Fulmer would announce he would step down.
The NBA season is barely a week old, but there is already a blockbuster trade in the works.
Sunday was a bad day for quarterbacks in the NFL as yet another starter will miss time due to injury.
Byron Leftwich led two touchdown drives after Ben Roethlisberger reinjured his throwing shoulder and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Washington Redskins 23-6 on Monday night. The Steelers' top-rated defense had seven sacks, allowed only 221 yards and became the first team this season to intercept Jason Campbell.
