Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Mark Reynolds makes a leaping catch in the outfield on a fly ball hit by Washington Nationals' Lastings Milledge in the ninth inning of a baseball game Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Phoenix. The Diamondbacks won 4-0.

Hoping to rouse his slumping team, Arizona manager Bob Melvin called a clubhouse meeting three hours before Saturday’s game. All he really needed to do was pencil Brandon Webb’s name onto his lineup card. Webb threw his eighth career shutout and the Diamondbacks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 4-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night.

Boston Red Sox Manny Ramirez, right, slaps hands with third base coach DeMarlo Hale, left, after Ramirez hit his 500th career home run druing the seventh inning of a baseball game against the Baltimore Orioles, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

Dreadlocks are in fashion in the exclusive 500-home run club, now that Manny Ramirez has added his name to the list of baseball’s most prolific sluggers. Ramirez became the 24th player to reach the milestone, connecting in the seventh inning off Chad Bradford to help the Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-3 Saturday night.

Justin Rose of England, reacts after missing a birdie putt on the 17th green Saturday, May 31, 2008 during the third round of the Memorial Golf Tournament in Dublin, Ohio. Rose finished the round at 5-under par.

Mathew Goggin tried to keep his balance on the bank of a creek, looking for a way out of trouble at the Memorial. He quickly abandoned those thoughts, chipped out to the 14th fairway and took a bogey. Muirfield Village was no place for heroics Saturday, not in such difficult conditions, not with a guy looking for his first PGA Tour victory.
