AP - LSU reached No. 1 the hard way. The Tigers edged past Southern California in the AP Top 25 on Sunday, even though the Trojans remained undefeated.
AP - Shane Victorino doused the fans with a fire hose, Brett Myers and Ryan Howard jumped into the stands to join the celebration and Hall of Fame announcer Harry Kalas sang "High Hopes" over the public address system. Believe it, Philly. The Fightin' Phils are going to the playoffs just as Jimmy Rollins predicted way back in January.
AP - Brett Favre was as good as ever, becoming the NFL's all-time leader in career touchdown passes with a couple of vintage third-down zingers to help Green Bay stay unbeaten. Favre was the obvious difference in Sunday's 23-16 victory by the Packers, who hung on against the pass-deficient Minnesota Vikings.
AP - When the snap went over his head, Tony Romo took off chasing it. When he caught up to the ball, all he did was knock it farther away. Then things really got interesting.
Kyle Busch, whose strong performances early in the Chase for the Nextel Cup put him among the serious title contenders, crashed early in Sunday's race at Kansas Speedway after Dale Earnhardt Jr. hit him from behind.
