AP - Marc Iavaroni faces a tough task in his first head coaching job — turning the worst team in the NBA back into a winner. The former Phoenix assistant was hired Thursday as coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, who went 22-60 last season after three straight trips to the NBA playoffs.

AP - For Billy Donovan, it's the perfect mix: the money, the team, the location. After leading Florida to two straight NCAA titles and building a budding dynasty in 11 years at the school, he's off to the NBA, ready to coach the Orlando Magic.

Phil Mickelson's grin was gone, replaced by a look of concern as he stood behind the ninth tee Thursday with his left hand extended while a massage therapist rubbed and pressed deeply into and around his left wrist. Three holes later, Mickelson shook hands with his playing partners and headed for the clubhouse at Muirfield Village.

AP - After leading Florida to two national titles, Billy Donovan has agreed to leave the Gators to coach the Orlando Magic, an official in the NBA told The Associated Press on Thursday.
