Rockets hold off Jazz to take 3-2 series lead (Reuters)

Rockets return home, beat Jazz 96-92 (AP)

Tracy McGrady was hitting shots and giving out assists at a record pace. Yao Ming was grabbing rebounds and dominating inside. A change of scenery was just what the All-Star duo and the rest of the Houston Rockets needed to regain control of their playoff series with Utah. McGrady had 26 points and a career-high 16 assists, Yao had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and the Rockets beat the Jazz 96-92 on...

Rapids 2, Real Salt Lake 0 (AP)

SALT LAKE CITY (AP)-- The Colorado Rapids spoiled Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Chris Seitz's Major League Soccer debut with a 2-0 victory on Monday night. Forward Roberto Brown opened the scoring in the 71st minute, beating his defender and then Seitz from 12 yards out. It was Brown's second goal of the year.

A year ago, winning a playoff series by any means was cause for major celebration by the Cleveland Cavaliers. This year's sweep of the Washington Wizards? That's simply what the Cavaliers were supposed to do. Cleveland swept a series for the first time in franchise history, finishing the job Monday night with yet another uneven performance in a 97-90 victory.
